It’s the week of Christmas! If you are going to see family this year, I wish you safe travels on your trip. But there is something about modern technology that makes traveling for the holidays so much easier.
When I was a kid, I had a shoebox full of DVDs that I would watch on a car DVD player if we went on a trip. It was powered by the cigarette lighter in the back of our minivan. Picking out my movies for the trip was honestly my favorite thing, but man, it was a pain to have all those wires, DVDs, and other accessories everywhere. I had to create a home theater on wheels.
Now you can pop on your headphones and watch any movie or song on your phone, tablet, or laptop. You can still enjoy the process of picking out movies today by downloading the ones you want to watch, or ripping DVDs you own to watch on the go.
My brother had Home Alone 2 on our family TV, and when Kevin is on the airplane, he can only listen to music on his handheld tape recorder. Now I can watch a 4K movie with less hassle.
So if you are traveling for the holidays, enjoy it, and most of all, enjoy your family!
